Women's Self-Defense
For years BJJ has mainly been a male-dominated martial art. With our Women’s programs, we aim to change that! More than just a martial art, our program instills a sense of community by building each other up. Learning to defend yourself in a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment not only enhances physical confidence, but also a sense of freedom to live life to the fullest. Everyone’s journey is different and we are here to help guide you on yours!
Women's Self-Defense
Focusing on the most common attacks that women face, from being pinned to the ground, having your hair grabbed, or even striking attacks, you will learn how to set verbal and physical boundaries, manage distance to keep yourself safe from attacks, and get away to safety. You will learn basic concepts of self-defense through leverage-based techniques and build essential reflexes, to allow you to neutralize a larger opponent. Anyone can participate, regardless of age, athletic ability, or experience, and you can start at any time!
Women's All Levels Jiu-Jitsu
Take your training to the next level. Open to all women at the beginner-intermediate level. Learn basic concepts of jiu-jitsu as well as fundamental grappling techniques. This class is designed to give students the ability to combine techniques to be able to better understand how to connect the most common movements in jiu-jitsu. Diving more into a sport-like, or jiu-jitsu vs. jiu-jitsu mindset, this class includes a mix of standing and ground techniques, positional transitions, movement drills, and controlled grappling sessions.
